Our client is a medical device manufacturer within the patient handling and manual handling arena. They are looking to grow their team in the South of England as part of continuous expansion plans now that they are in the growth phase.
The business development executive will be responsible for maximising sales throughout the hospital environment.
ROLE:- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in NHS and private healthcare.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities for patient handling products and fall prevention products, plus other related patient care products.
- Work closely with procurement and clinical teams to support product evaluations and trials.
- Deliver product demonstrations and training to end users.
- Lead Trust-wide rollouts following successful product trials or tenders.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer service, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting, CRM updates, and activity reporting.
- Stay informed on NHS procurement frameworks, budgets, and clinical guidelines relevant to patient handling and safety.
- Attend relevant conferences, exhibitions and seminars to promote the brand and product range.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in business development roles.
- Minimum 2 years’ field sales experience in hospital/healthcare settings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Commercial acumen to drive growth and build long-term partnerships.
- Strong mix of new business and account management sales skills.
- Excellent negotiation experience and able to organise diary/CRM system.
- Any clinical experience within Physiology, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy would be an advantage.
