Sales and Marketing Manager Are you looking for a leadership role within an established sports medicine medical devices manufacturer?This role has direct line management of 3 people whilst also managing a global network of distributors.
If you have previous experience of theatre based devices, worked within sales, marketing and/ or distributor management; I would like to hear from you.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Develop and implement a global marketing strategy aligned with key business objectives.
- Hold quarterly business reviews with current international distributors to ensure sales performance aligns with set targets.
- Appoint distributors who are aligned with the sports medicine sector in key markets.
- Terminate any underperforming distributors in line with contractual terms and conditions.
- Liaise closely with international distributors to establish marketing collateral needs and develop and provide marketing materials to support distributor success.
- Identify and in conjunction with Head of Clinical Education address any knowledge gaps detected within the distributor network through additional training.
Provide face to face training at Cad Labs and at medical education events as required.
- Liaise with approved suppliers and surgeons to ensure the provision of marketing collateral such as animations, video testimonials, photographs, case studies and surgical technique manuals.
- Oversee and contribute to marketing initiatives provided internally such as website content, SEO and social media and support the Marketing Specialist with direction.
- Attend medical education events and selected international conferences.
- Attend monthly management meetings and provide updates on sales and marketing progress.
- Provide regular financial forecasts to the Operations Director, Production Manager and Finance Manager in light of new information from distributors.
Please note this role may require regular international travel.
Qualifications/Experience
- A strong background in the orthopaedics medical devices sector; ideally within sports medicine
- A demonstrable track record in marketing.
- Experience of value proposition creation and producing business cases.
- A relevant degree in either a technical subject or a marketing specialism.
Desirable Experience, Knowledge or Qualifications
- A clinical background
- Previous Product Manager/Marketing experience in medical devices

- Excellent verbal communication and networking skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills
- Excellent written communication skills for writing and producing content.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Good attention to detail, creativity and proof-reading skills.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the UK and abroad – up to 30% international travel will be required.
