Are you an experienced manager with a background in engineering, logistics, or technical services? Network Recruitment Wales is working in partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to recruit an Interim Technology & Servicing Manager to support the Vision Products service during a period of long-term sickness cover. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a busy, essential service that supplies, installs, and maintains community equipment that directly supports people to live safely and independently.
About the Service
Vision Products supplies, installs, and services a wide range of community equipment, including:
- Chairs
- Bath lifts
- Hoists
- Beds
The service plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals across the borough.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day operational management of the Technology and Servicing department.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams including administration staff, engineers, and assistive technology staff.
- Oversee vehicle, stock, and equipment management to ensure service continuity.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and operational standards.
- Manage workloads effectively, ensuring deadlines and service targets are met.
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and represent the service professionally.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven management and leadership experience.
- Experience working within an engineering (electrical/mechanical) or logistics environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
- Database experience and basic IT skills.
- A full UK driving licence (advantageous).
- A collaborative, team-player approach.
