Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf (Hybrid – primarily remote)

Employment Type: Temporary

Start Date: 15 February 2026

End Date: 30 April 2026

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00

Pay Rates:

  • PAYE: £13.26 per hour
  • Umbrella: £17.35 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and adaptable Administrative Assistant to join the Business Support Team within Adult Social Care at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. This temporary role has arisen to provide cover during a secondment and offers the chance to work within a busy, demanding environment delivering high-quality administrative support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide effective, efficient, and responsive administrative assistance to the Business Support team.
  • Accurately record, maintain, and update information on computerised databases.
  • Assist with the production of timely and accurate management information.
  • Support day-to-day administrative functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Confidence using IT systems and computerised databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to work.

Working Arrangements:

Due to current working practices, the majority of duties will be undertaken remotely from home. However, you will be required to attend an office base at least twice per week.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality due to the nature of the role.
