About The Role (External)
What you’ll do
- You’ll be the technical authority for track maintenance and renewals, ensuring our network remains safe, reliable, and efficient. From inspections and data analysis to planning and auditing, you’ll keep everything on track—literally.
Your Mission
- Lead with Safety: Champion Life Saving Rules and set the standard for safe working.
- Ensure Quality: Monitor and maintain compliance with track standards and performance targets.
- Get Hands-On: Support the design, installation, and commissioning of track assets.
- Be the Expert: Provide technical advice using Intelligent Infrastructure tools and data insights.
- Drive Improvement: Analyse trends, manage audits, and prepare technical specifications.
- Grow & Mentor: Develop your own skills while supporting the growth of others.
What You Bring
- Strong knowledge of track maintenance and renewal processes.
- Experience in construction or maintenance management within rail infrastructure.
- Understanding of track design principles and asset performance fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant competencies: PTS and ideally NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HTQ in a related discipline.
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
