Who We Are

Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's only international high-speed railway (HS1) owned by London St. Pancras Highspeed.

The 109km London St. Pancras Highspeed infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Stratford and Ebbsfleet International.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client London St. Pancras Highspeed, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

Salary: £27,464 + location allowance

About the role

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be at the heart of station operations - the eyes, ears, and calm voice behind the scenes:

• Deliver regular updates on train and station services using our station information systems.
• Share realtime updates with Train Operating Companies (TOCs) and station staff when disruption hits.

Champion safety & security

• Provide clear, timely safety announcements and support station users with essential information.

Operate the tech that keeps the station running

• Manage systems like fire panels, CCTV, help points, and car park equipment.
• Log and report equipment faults quickly and accurately.

Stay connected

• Liaise with Signalling Centres and TOCs to keep train service info flowing.
• Maintain detailed logs of operational events and occurrences.

Be part of the team

• Support station colleagues as needed to meet operational demands.
• Play a key role in emergency situations by following established plans and protocols

Your experience and skills

• Clear and confident communication in English - written and spoken
• Customer-facing experience (you're friendly, calm, and solution-focused!)
• A team-player mindset
• Ability to process complex information quickly under pressure

• Great at juggling multiple tasks and knowing what to prioritise

Drugs and Alcohol Standard

All prospective candidates will be required to undergo and pass a drugs and alcohol test. Your application will be rescinded if you record a positive test. All positive drugs and alcohol test results for prospective candidates will be securely held on Sentinel database and a 5 year suspension from applying for a safety critical role, a role which requires PTS certification or a Key Safety role on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure will be enforced.
