Brief Description

Lead and deliver all possessions and the worksites within them to which you are allocated. Delivery the access management and supporting activities for all possessions designated by the Operation Delivery Manager.

About The Role (External)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure delivery of all planned work within designated possessions.
  • Formulate and complete possession paperwork, including Possession Packs and KPI Forms
  • Ensure that all possession protection and management arrangements comply with and relevant Group and Company Standards (including the Network Rail Rule Book GE/RT/8000)
  • Ensure efficiency, reliability and operational safety of designated possessions.
  • Ensure the robustness of the possession arrangements including the interfacing of worksites and the associated train plans.
  • Briefing and management of possession protection staff.
  • Monitor and report on possession safety and efficiency by production of post-possession report. Identify lessons learnt including training and recommendations submitted to the Operation Delivery Manager.
  • Audit sites to ensure contractors are adhered to procedures and are in possession of relevant certification.
  • Attend planning meetings and PICOP briefings as requested by the Operation Delivery Manager.
  • Carry out pre possession site checks and the necessary paperwork.
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of work within the possession to Network Rail Control, immediately alerting them to any risk of an overrun.

A full driving license is required and a minimum PICOP competency required
