Role Summary

Leading a team of Intelligent Infrastructure Technicians to optimise the outputs of data from signalling and D&P assets across the Intelligent Infrastructure systems including RADAR to improve asset reliability and performance through predicting and preventing failures. Identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency.

Note: This is a 12‑month fixed term opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency.
  • Identify problem locations and/or processes within the routes and delivery units, develop and implement action plans to resolve such issues in coordination with the delivery units.
  • Support the delivery units in the effective implementation of improvement programmes, projects and initiatives.
  • Provide data and attend periodic business reviews, national working groups and reliability forums.
  • Prepare business cases for improvement initiatives that are supported by robust analysis.
  • Produce and implement plans for improvement initiatives that include training, briefing and support documentation.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and share areas of best practice within the delivery units to improve business performance in a consistent manner.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in maintenance management, processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance management processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of an engineering discipline.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of operational railway environment.
  • IRSE Licence holder (Signalling only).
  • Local Accident & Incident Investigation.
  • Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills.

Desirable

  • Incorporated Engineer.
  • Membership of professional body.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: Starting at £46,701 and rising to £55,411 per annum.
