Role Overview
As a Track Maintenance Operative you will play a vital part in keeping the railway safe, reliable, and ready for the millions of passengers who depend on it every day. You will carry out essential maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the network, preventing faults, responding to urgent tasks and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain track, carry out inspections and repairs to keep the network running safely.
- Travel to sites as needed, working across different locations as maintenance needs arise.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, day or night.
- Prioritise safety by supporting safe working practices, performing lookout duties and following all safety procedures.
- Support the wider team by assisting with fault‑finding, inspections and emergency repairs when required.
