About The Role

What does the average day look like?

A Typical Day Could Include

Supporting the development and maintenance of company policy, technical rules, controls, specifications, procedures and good practice guidance for resilient LV railway power infrastructure.
Providing professional engineering advice on LV system resilience, voltage resilience, changes in ESQCR parameters, DNO interfaces, utility supply risks, standby supplies, UPS systems, battery systems and future energy integration (e.g. renewables).
Coordinating national vulnerability assessments, dependency reviews and resilience risk prioritisation for operationally critical LV power supplies.
Translating reliability evidence, repeat failure learning, asset condition, monitoring data and operational intelligence into power resilience improvement plans.
Working with Regions, Routes, Technical Authority specialists, delivery teams, maintainers, suppliers, DNOs and regulators to support consistent implementation of resilience requirements.
Supporting the approval and implementation of new LV technologies for improving power resilience.
