We have an exciting 6 month secondment / fixed term contract opportunity within Network Rail High Speed for a HR Business Partner. You will work with the supported business leadership team (under the direction of the Senior HR Business Partner) to deliver the business aligned People Plan/HR strategy – and provide coaching and support to members of the supported leadership team.

You will also provide pro-active, value add HR support to the supported business leaders across the Operations team on medium term and operational people issues

About the role (External)

  • A demonstrable strong business/commercial approach and understanding of business needs?

  • Proven experience of working in partnership and building strong working relationships with senior managers in order to improve people management?

  • A passion about customer service with ability to articulate previous achievements through business deliverables?

  • Knowledge and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions to drive a high performance culture?

  • Experience of coaching and influencing senior managers.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence effectively with all levels of an organisation?

  • An understanding of how to work with the business to identify, develop and retain talent?

  • An excellent technical HR Knowledge – CIPD qualified or relevant experience to demonstrate level of competence?

  • A proven track record of operating in a complex working environment?

  • Previous involvement in organisation change programmes e.g. TUPE, Organisation re-design, redundancy programmes, etc.

  • MCIPD/post-graduate human resources qualification.

  • Understanding of project management principles and experience of managing complex projects to successful conclusion.

The role is based at (insert location), however frequent travel to our other office and site locations along the High Speed line is expected.

We follow a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range:

Salary range: £43,588 – £49,037 – plus inner London allowance of £3,270.
