We're looking for an inspiring and confident Works Delivery Manager (Communications) to lead our Works Delivery team and oversee the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of inspection, maintenance and renewal work across our communications assets. This is a role where strong leadership meets operational impact. You'll bring together people, safety and performance to drive results, guide your team, and help shape the future of our communications infrastructure.

- Manage, motivate and guide the Works Delivery team and contractors to achieve business goals.

- Oversee the inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal of communications assets.
- Develop safe, compliant and efficient work plans.
- Ensure all activities follow method statements, standards and safe systems of work.
- Drive Continuous Improvement
- Implement initiatives that improve safety, reliability, productivity and efficiency.
- Lead and embed positive change across the team.
- Maintain Quality & Compliance
- Validate the quality of delivered work and ensure assets meet required standards.
- Conduct staff surveillance, work quality checks and condition assessments.
- Produce accurate resource specifications, method statements and delivery plans.
- Manage Information & Resources
- Keep systems, databases and records updated and accurate.
- Manage workloads within agreed resource, budget and unit cost levels.
- Fulfil responsibilities under the CDM Regulations on behalf of Network Rail.
What You'll need
- Proven experience leading and developing operational teams.
- Successful track record delivering maintenance or work programmes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coach, influence and support others.
- Confidence embedding safe working behaviours.
- Skilled in driving improvement and managing change.
- Knowledge of electrification, plant maintenance and construction management processes.
- Understanding of budget management and cost control.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant and current competencies required for the role.
- Ideally NVQ Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.
