Salary: Standard Maintenance contract £56777 + Full Training Provided

About the role

Do you want to help keep one of the busiest rail networks in the world running smoothly? We're looking for curious, committed, and technical minded individuals to join our Signalling & Telecoms (S&T) team. This is your chance to be part of something big-helping us move millions of passengers safely and efficiently every day.

Why This Role Matters

Our Control Centre Technicians are the guardians of the railway's digital nervous system. You'll monitor and manage the signalling equipment that keeps trains moving through the London Core-where we run over 25 trains an hour! From Cisco network switches to signalling interlocking systems, you'll be the first line of defence when faults occur, ensuring quick responses and minimal disruption.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and respond to real-time alerts from remote condition monitoring systems.
• Provide first-line fault response and assist with deeper investigations.
• Work with engineers and managers to prioritise and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Take ownership of your shift-working solo but supported by a strong team network.

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining safe systems of work, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Strong leaders with the ability to motivate, direct, and embed a culture of safe working practices within the team.
• To collaborate and influence across all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of signalling inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques, alongside relevant standards and procedures.

Drugs and Alcohol Standard

All prospective candidates will be required to undergo and pass a drugs and alcohol test. Your application will be rescinded if you record a positive test. All positive drugs and alcohol test results for prospective candidates will be securely held on Sentinel database and a 5 year suspension from applying for a safety critical role, a role which requires PTS certification or a Key Safety role on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure will be enforced.
