Description
As a Permitting Team Leader, you will manage a team of permit administrators who are responsible for the statutory permitting duties in line with Streetworks legislation.
The permitting department are an integral section within the larger department and are a huge support function over adherence of Streetworks legislation and jeopardy management of live permits.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to
- Manage and efficiently resource the team, including weekend requirements, ensuring the office operation has adequate coverage, aligning to the field operation.
- Knowledge of the New Road and Street Works Act and Highway Permit Schemes is essential as well as experience of using Street Manager.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills to effectively lead a team and deal with queries.
- Ensure compliance is maintained in line with contractual KPIs.

Experience of running and mentoring a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and work under tight time pressures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
