The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

As a Support Driver, you will be responsible for driving and operating a drop side van. You will load and deliver materials to work sites and collect barriers, cones and fittings once works have been completed, along with carrying out jet washes. You will be required to work safely, but it involves lifting and carrying weights up to 25kg. The role includes working unsociable hours from time to time, to support our operational teams during emergencies. You will transport materials to and from local depots, suppliers and builders’ merchants.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will have good knowledge of site safety and site set ups with the public and team members welfare essential.
  • You will have knowledge and experience of driving and towing plant.
  • You will make sure all work is carried out according to safe working methods.
  • You will support teams with all aspects of site establishment and site clearance.
  • You will ensure security, cleanliness and good care of the company vehicle, equipment and plant.
  • You will maintain good customer and client relations for the benefit of the company.
  • You will complete all necessary documentation in accordance with the company and contract requirements.
  • You will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • You will drive safely and project a good company image.
  • You will ensure that safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures.
  • You will use GARD (smartphone system) to deliver all feedback for commercial and where necessary reinstatement feedback.
  • You will liaise with the Support Services and Street works Team to ensure that FPN and Section 74 liabilities are managed and focus on a right first-time attitude.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Full Towing licence.
  • NRSWA Unit 2.
