As a Trainee Site Supervisor, with support and training you will manage the teams within the Water Metering contract for Severn Trent Water. To ensure a successful delivery of the metering projects within the team, whilst maintaining the highest Customer Service and Health and Safety standards.
You will supervise the teams – ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to our Client’s expectations. You will provide operational leadership – ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to our Client’s expectations. In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to Severn Trent Water. You will ensure that work is carried out in a manner which builds the confidence of developers and adopts a ‘right first time’ approach.
Key Responsibilities- Have operational supervisory responsibility for a designated group of Metering teams, and their daily activities
- Organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages and absence management
- Manage all other resources e.g. materials and plant
- Ensure accurate information is captured of works undertaken
- Regularly visit teams at local site level – reviewing progress and performance and ensuring standards are adhered to
- Carry out team briefings with teams on a monthly basis; coaching and developing operational teams to reach their potential
- Complete Team Inspections ensuring a high level of Compliance with a real focus on quality and right first-time operational delivery
- Be a Health & Safety Representative; undertaking health & safety inspections in and around the workplace, raising health and safety related matters with management and investigating reportable accidents or incidents as and when they occur
- A college/university education in construction or relevant field.
- Excellent IT skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
