We are seeking detail-oriented and highly organized Programme Planners to join our utilities team. The Programme Planners will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within the utilities sector using Microsoft Project. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in project management, a deep understanding of the utilities industry, and proficiency in Microsoft Project to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Scheduling
- Develop detailed project plans using Microsoft Project, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules that reflect project milestones and activities.
- Identify and allocate resources, ensuring availability and proper utilization.
- Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Communicate project plans, status updates, and potential issues to all stakeholders, including team members, management, and clients.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and document minutes and action items.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, updates, and project health metrics to stakeholders.
- Documentation and Compliance
- Ensure that all projects are documented accurately, including scope changes, project progress, and final deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and industry standards within the utilities sector.
- Maintain up-to-date project files and documentation.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve project planning and execution processes.
- Implement best practices in project management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in project planning within the utilities sector.
- CCTV analysis and infiltration knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and other project management software.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
