A new exciting role within the central HSEQ team has become available, to meet the needs of the HSEQ Management System during a time of business growth. As the Policy and Standards Manager (HSEQ), you will report to the Group Head of HSEQ and will be responsible for developing, maintaining and updating Group HSEQ policies and standards, ensuring these are effectively communicated throughout the Network Plus Group. You will manage the HSEQ Management System Coordinator, ensuring that critical document control is maintained across the Group HSEQ. This role will require considerable engagement and consultation with our stakeholders across all areas of the business ensuring that Group HSEQ standards and requirements are fit for purpose. You will have a passion for ensuring exceptional levels of health, safety, environment and quality standards are delivered across Network Plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage plans to deliver initiatives relating to policy standards and accreditations to meet HSEQ targets and objectives.
- Develop, structure and manage the overarching integrated HSEQ Management System Framework for the organisation.
- Update and maintain a suite of technical fit for purpose Group HSEQ policy & standards for the organisation to work to.
- Managing and maintaining the legal register with consultation and co-ordination with key stakeholders.
- Engage and consult stakeholders across the organisation to ensure fit for purpose procedures are established.
- Manage and oversee the maintenance of external accreditations ensuring timelines are met.
- Provide input to comprehensive management reports in line with the HSEQ reporting structure.
- Driving continual improvement of the HSEQ Management system to enhance compliance, efficiency and operational performance.
- Managing competency and awareness relating to the HSEQ policies and standards.
- Support internal and external audits relating to the HSEQ Management System.
- Lead, coach and develop direct reports to ensure effective performance and professional growth.
- Monitoring changes in legislation and industry best practice.
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience in a similar HSEQ leadership role.
- Health, Safety & Environment Qualification e.g. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of developing and implementing ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001.
- Working knowledge of CDM requirements for Principal Designer and Principal Contractor.
- Demonstrable Project Management Capability.
- Proven experience of managing and developing a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- Utilities experience.
- Chartered Practitioner (or working towards).
