As a Performance Apprentice, you will play an important role in supporting the Welsh Water contract by helping the team turn data into meaningful insights that improve operational performance and customer outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while completing the Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship (Skills England).

You’ll learn from experienced professionals, develop technical and analytical skills, and build a rewarding career in business performance and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities Collecting, validating and maintaining operational performance data.

Producing regular reports and dashboards to monitor contract performance.

Assisting with the analysis of KPIs and identifying trends or areas for improvement.

Supporting the production of management information for internal teams and Welsh Water.

Helping investigate performance issues through data analysis and root cause identification.

Working with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Maintaining data quality and ensuring information is accurate and consistent.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the contract.

Assisting with the creation and maintenance of performance documentation and reporting processes.

Using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other business systems to manipulate and present data.

Developing knowledge of data governance, reporting standards and business intelligence throughout the apprenticeship.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise GCSEs (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English at Grade 4/C or above.

An interest in data, reporting or business performance.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with a variety of stakeholders.

A willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.

Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, would be beneficial but is not essential.
