The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager (Data, MI & Systems) you'll act as a subject matter expert and the key link between Finance and IT in not only maintaining but optimising our ERP (Microsoft Business Central), automating workflows and maintaining data integrity to help the FP&A and Finance team to support the business at this critical step in our growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Administration
    • BC Maintenance: Act as the super-user for Microsoft Business Central, managing chart of accounts (COA) mapping, dimensions, and user permissions.
    • Integrity Management: Perform regular system reconciliations to ensure the sub-ledgers align perfectly with the General Ledger.
    • Process Optimisation: Continuously audit current finance workflows to eliminate manual workarounds and "Excel-heavy" processes.
    • Troubleshooting: Serve as the first point of contact within finance for system issues, collaborating with our IT team and external consultants for complex resolutions.
  • Data & MI (The "Fewest Clicks" Initiative)
    • Reporting Architecture: Maintain data structure in Business Central so it aligns to the wider Finance reporting architecture that allows the Finance team and wider business to access real‑time data without manual manipulation.
    • Single Source of Truth: Work with the Data team to ensure financial data flowing into the warehouse is clean, structured, and "analysis‑ready."
  • Growth & Scaling
    • User Training: Create "How-To" documentation and lead training sessions to upskill the wider finance team on system best practices.
    • Scaling Support: Ensure that as we add new legal entities or business lines, the system architecture is robust enough to handle the volume without manual intervention.

Experience and Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience in a Systems Accountant role
  • Experience in using PowerBI / Microsoft Fabric an advantage
  • Experience in using SQL / PySpark beneficial
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Driven to improve processes and clarity of outputs
  • Strong communicator and able to engage with key internal and external stakeholders at multiple organisational levels
