As a Senior Commercial Administrator, you will look after the general maintenance of commercial information for our contracts. You will apply for payment via the client system to facilitate cash flow, identify any issues preventing applications for payment and liaise as appropriate both internally and externally to resolve these issues, run reports, manage and oversee manual application for payments and collate substantiation requests where required. The role will predominately see you administering the general payments processes on our largest contract in the region as part of a team as well as providing general support to the wider commercial team. For the right person, there is potential for this role to quickly progress into an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role. The hours for this role will either be 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the submission of contract variations to the client.
- Assist with daily/weekly applications for payments to the client.
- Produce weekly reports and manage internal databases.
- Be willing to learn and assist the commercial team with day-to-day operations.
- Work with and build effective relationships with colleagues and clients as appropriate.
- Maximise the efficiency of reporting techniques/systems.
- Close orders on client system to facilitate payment.
- Identify issues with orders and liaise as appropriate internally and externally to resolve.
- Manage manual applications for payment and requests for additional evidence.
- Assist in the reviews of the Depot level Profit & Loss statements.
- Assist in identifying areas where Depot performance can be enhanced.
- Assist in the assessment of sub-contractor applications.
- Provide feedback and analysis to Depot Managers regarding Cost & Sales margins.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role would be highly desirable.
- Experience in Construction/Traffic Management sector preferred but not essential.
