As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the resources associated with our Water Rehabilitation contract, delivering improvements to the clean water network across designated operational areas on behalf of our client, United Utilities.
Water Rehabilitation activities are undertaken to resolve issues affecting the clean water network, including low water pressure, loss of supply, leakage, and water quality concerns.
As a Water Agent, you will provide operational leadership across these activities, ensuring that works are effectively planned, coordinated, and delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements. You will promote the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, recognising its critical importance to our client and the communities we serve.
You will supervise operatives, monitor their performance and ensure their productivity is in line with contract service level agreements. To ensure that all contractors have the appropriate equipment, materials, training and competencies to perform allocated work.
To demonstrate good time management and flexibility to allow the execution of your roles and responsibilities. To liaise with customers, clients, local authorities and third party regarding past, present or future works.
To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessment and coaching to ensure teams are performing to agreed production levels and expected safety/water hygiene standards. To perform quality checks in line with contract specific requirements, to include but not limited to reviewing pre-construction information, designs, carrying out the required inspections/on-site checks.
To comply with the relevant Company policies and procedures, including HSEQ and welfare provisions. To ensure gang productivity targets are met. To ensure project updates from site are accurate and in real-time, including any required EW/CE.
Proactively identify potential risks related to safety, environmental impact, and project delays. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring continuity and safety in operations. Prepare and execute contingency plans in case of emergencies, such as water main breaks, leaks, or other unforeseen incidents.
Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively, particularly to external parties such as the client, customers, local authorities and third party. Understanding of contract commercial mechanism. Asbestos Awareness. National Water Hygiene Card (Blue Card). UK driving Licence.
