A leading Optical and Hearing Care Domiciliary company are looking to recruit an Optical Lab Technician, a minimum of 1 - 2 years plus experience to work at their Lab based in Cambuslang.

Job Summary

They are looking for a skilled and motivated Optical Lab Technician to join their laboratory team. This role plays a key part in delivering high quality optical products by accurately manufacturing and glazing lenses in line with prescriptions, quality standards, and turnaround times.

Key responsibilities

  • Interpret and process optical prescriptions accurately
  • Edge, glaze, and assemble lenses into frames
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure lenses meet prescription and company standards
  • Operate and maintain optical lab machinery safely
  • Identify and resolve production issues efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment
  • Consistently meet turnaround time targets to support timely delivery of glasses

  • Good manual dexterity and practical skills, with the ability to handle delicate materials and equipment
