Job description:

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all governance, operational, and ad-hoc reporting requirements are delivered to the highest quality, through effective collation and analysis of data, and creation of concise and effective Management Information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the generation of reports using data provided externally and internally and develop supporting processes in line with other internal processes.
  2. Manage stakeholder engagement ensuring their reporting and information needs are met by creating new reports and dashboards as agreed, meeting any ad-hoc information requests.
  3. Review and quality check automated reports, identify any risks and issues and raise appropriately.
  4. Conduct trend analysis on performance to proactively identify problems and areas for improvements to both behaviour and service, and ensure they are driven through to completion.

Person Specification

Essential:

  1. Proactive in gathering, evaluating and analysing information and evidence from a range of sources to support strategic change.
  2. Have an open-minded, scientific, sceptical approach to determining causes of failures and poor performance.
  3. Ability to seamlessly integrate with existing 3rd-party supplier relationships.
  4. Communication skills – effective in gathering reporting requirements and communicating outcomes to technical and non-technical users.
  5. A high degree of familiarity and knowledge of MS Excel and the Office suite. This includes Power Bi (at least lower intermediate level).
  6. A working knowledge of reporting functionality within ServiceNow, including basic knowledge of the Performance Analytics module.
  7. Ability to ‘dot walk’ within the ServiceNow native reporting environment, create dashboards and share them with users.
  8. A high-level understanding of operational processes such as ITIL and modern digital support teams.
  9. Familiarity with Agile methodology and appreciation for iterative, continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  1. Understanding of organisational change and business process change.
  2. Insight into best practices around operational exercising and situational testing.
  3. Knowledge of the IT and technology market, particularly key suppliers.

The role requires a SC cleared eligible candidate.
