Role: Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid β 2 Days On-Site Weekly)
Salary: Β£46,000 β Β£56,500
Contract: Fixed-Term (18 Months)
Network IT are supporting a leading organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their IT Services team. This is a strategic role within the Portfolio and Project Management Office, responsible for delivering large-scale, complex projects that underpin ambitious digital strategy and operational transformation. Many of these initiatives involve improving data and reporting capabilities, so experience in this area will be a strong advantage.
You will lead multiple high-profile projects, manage diverse teams, and ensure successful delivery of initiatives that enhance digital services and infrastructure across the organisation. Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Lead large or multiple projects of strategic importance.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria aligned to business objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers.
- Manage budgets, resources, and interdependencies across projects.
- Establish strong stakeholder relationships and ensure effective communication throughout.
- Deliver outputs on time, to budget, and to agreed quality standards.
- Implement evaluation strategies and reporting mechanisms for project progress.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
- Line manage and motivate team members, supporting development and performance.
Experience Requirements
- Significant experience managing large, complex projects in IT or digital environments.
- Experience in large-scale organisational change.
- Formal project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, APMP).
- Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Management and project governance.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in service delivery and transitioning systems into production.
- Leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams.
