Role: Platform Support Engineer Location: Shrivenham (Hybrid β 3 Days a Week In-Office) Salary: Β£25,000 β Β£40,000 We are looking for a Platform Support Engineer, someone who has experience providing 2nd/3rd line support against enterprise platforms to monitor and support our clients\’ critical platform infrastructure (e.g. AD, SCCM, SolarWinds, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and User Access Devices (UADs). The Platform Support Engineer ensures reliability, user satisfaction, and provides issue resolution to improve platform operations. Role Responsibilities Monitor platform infrastructure against performance and availability, responding to alerts and incidents. Provide 2nd/3rd line support against their enterprise systems including Active Directory, SCCM, SolarWinds, and VDI environment. Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, escalating to other technical teams when required. Develop and update support documentation (e.g. troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles). Provide hands-on support with automation scripts, workflows, and monitoring tools. Experience 3 yearsβ experience in platform/infrastructure support. Proven experience managing Active Directory, SCCM, SolarWinds. Hands-on PowerShell and Python experience to produce automation scripting. Fundamental understanding of networking concepts and network storage systems. Exposure to VDI platforms (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V). Used ITSM tools.
