We are looking for a Junior Security Cloud Architect to work within Agile teams engaged in delivering and running cloud platforms for our customers to ensure the scalability, reliability, security, and efficiency of the environments that host the UK Public sector's national critical infrastructure in line with the Government Digital Service (GDS) Service Manual and Technology Code of Practice.
As a Junior Cloud Security Architect, you will:
- Interact with a variety of security stakeholders across Defence and other government departments
- Support security leads in planning and assurance activities for Tier 2 hyperscale cloud procurement (build phase)
- Support security assurance activities for all aspects of Secret Cloud
- Support security documentation production and review
- Support managing the alignment of security designs to relevant MoD JSP publications, Defence Cyber Security Framework and Secure by Design (SbD)
- Support Tier 2 Community Cloud Security Forum (TCSF) (X-Government working group) as required
- Support S-Cloud Design Boards as required
- Support development of plan/roadmap of security assurance activities necessary to conduct build phase assurance of tier 2 hyperscale cloud
- Support development of security patterns for Tier 2 hyperscale cloud platform, including (but not limited to) Landing Zones, Authentication, Access patterns
- Support development of security architectures and instructions for on premises tier 2 cloud to include retrofit of existing capabilities and introduction of new capabilities
- Support SSA assurance activities
Experience:
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a cloud security architect/engineer
- Have relevant cloud security qualifications or badges in Azure or AWS
- Collaborate with other cloud Architects to design, implement and evolve security processes and procedures
- Engage in the design, collaborating with product owners and architects to ensure that solutions help our customers and achieve the desired business goals
- Monitor new features/functionality and assess their Ops implications to improve services continuously
- Ensure Identity and Access Management controls are in place and strictly adhered to
- Produce and maintain exemplary documentation of support processes & resolutions to known operational issues
Participate in a hybrid working model, working remotely and 3 days per week on our customer site in Corsham Wiltshire. Must have UK Government DV Clearance.
