Role: Data and Reporting Business Analyst
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 2/3 Days Per Week On-Site)
Salary: £47,000 - £56,500
Contract: Fixed Term until December 2027
Network IT are working with a leading research-intensive organisation to recruit a Technical Business Analyst to support a major enterprise data and reporting transformation programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in replacing Legacy reporting platforms with a modern Power BI reporting capability , helping to deliver a strategic data and analytics roadmap that will enable better decision-making across the organisation.
Role Overview
As a Technical Business Analyst , you will operate as the critical link between business stakeholders, data teams, and technical delivery functions throughout a major reporting transformation programme.
A key focus of this role will be supporting the migration from Legacy reporting solutions to Power BI , helping to define reporting requirements, improve business processes, and ensure data solutions align with organisational objectives. You will work closely with Project Managers, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting solutions built on modern data platforms.
This role requires strong technical business analysis expertise across enterprise reporting, business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics. Experience working with Kimball-style dimensional modelling methodologies and semantic models will be highly valued, helping to ensure reporting solutions are scalable, governed, and capable of delivering consistent business insight.
You will be comfortable translating complex business requirements into clear technical specifications whilst ensuring stakeholders remain engaged throughout the delivery life cycle.
