Network IT are partnering with an expanding organisation to recruit an IT Manager who will take full responsibility for their IT function. This role will act as the central point for all IT-related activities, ensuring systems operate effectively, resolving technical issues promptly, and identifying opportunities to enhance processes and standards.

This position is highly hands-on and requires a broad technical capability, providing support across 1st to 3rd line, working closely with third-party vendors, and contributing towards shaping IT strategy. The environment is predominantly cloud-based, utilising Microsoft 365, alongside some legacy on-premise infrastructure supporting key business operations, so confidence working across both is essential.

Alongside day-to-day ownership, you will take control of the organisation's IT strategy, developing both short-term and long-term roadmaps to improve the current environment. This will include introducing modern technologies, aligning with industry best practices, and driving continuous innovation across the business.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and curious individual with strong technical expertise and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong working relationships and integrate effectively across the organisation. Role Overview and Responsibilities

As IT Manager, you will deliver end-to-end IT support across the business, ensuring systems remain secure, stable, and aligned with organisational objectives. You will oversee daily IT operations, introduce best practices, and collaborate with external providers to maintain and improve the IT landscape.

  • Provide hands-on support across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line issues.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for IT requests and escalations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and service providers.
  • Support, maintain, and optimise hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Ensure robust data security, backup processes, and compliance standards are met.
  • Take a proactive approach to reviewing the IT environment and identifying improvements.
  • Define and implement short-term and long-term IT roadmaps, aligning with business goals and modern industry practices.
  • Introduce new technologies and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and capability.
  • Recommend enhancements to systems and contribute to IT strategy development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and technical records.
  • Develop strong internal relationships to understand business needs and deliver effective IT solutions.
Experience Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience providing IT support across multiple levels (1st–3rd line).
  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 cloud environments and Windows systems.
  • Experience supporting and managing on-premise servers for critical workloads.
  • Proven ability to manage third-party providers and service agreements.
  • Experience contributing to or owning IT strategy and roadmap planning.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage stakeholders.
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
