I am currently working with a leading independent opticians and Hearing Care Company who are looking to recruit a Trainee Hearing Care Assistant for the East Grinstead area. Full training will be given, happy to consider candidates who have worked in a Medical/Clinical background in any Healthcare sector, including Optical Assistants and interested in working within Hearing Care. Some experience in retail and sales would be advantageous.
The Role:
- 12 week intensive course to train how to be a Hearing Care Assistant;
- Carry out hearing tests;
- Repair NHS hearing aids;
- Proficient at taking impressions of the inside of their ears.
You can then do a further course in micro suction ear wax removal. You do need to be able to drive and own a car as you will be travelling to different venues including medical centres and some of their practices. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to become a Hearing Aid Dispenser in due course, where you will carry out a full training programme and the company will sponsor this course.
The Salary Package:
- Minimum wage while training;
- Which will then increase once qualified and will also include a car allowance;
- A further increase once qualified to do ear wax removal.
