Full or Part Time Optometrist (Monday to Friday – Durham, County Durham). My Client, one of the leading domiciliary companies, is looking to recruit a full or part time optometrist to serve patients in Durham and surrounding areas. The role is Monday to Friday with no weekend requirements and offers flexibility around family and other commitments.

The successful candidate will visit patients in their own homes to conduct comprehensive clinical tests and dispense prescriptions. Working with patients who are often elderly and frail requires a sympathetic approach and empathy. Travel to various locations from your postal address is expected, with an average of 6–7 patients per day.

You will work with the latest mobile technology, including portable digital fundus cameras, mobile slit lamp, I‑care tonometer, and an industry‑leading digital records system. This system also allows you to obtain full support or a second opinion within minutes from the Senior Optometrist team at the Head Office.

In return you will receive an excellent salary package up to £74,000 per annum, with very achievable bonus potential, plus a fully expensed company car, a pension scheme matched up to 5%, full CET support, annual GOC fee coverage, discounted eyewear and hearing products, three 'treat' days granted for 100% attendance, childcare vouchers, private healthcare, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. They also offer a welcome bonus up to £10,000 (terms and conditions apply).
