Network Computing are an established and growing Managed Service Provider with more than 30 years of success supporting businesses across the UK and internationally. They are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take ownership of their finance function and become a trusted member of the senior management team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working within an SME environment where they can make a genuine impact. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead all aspects of finance while also supporting a small amount of HR administration for a close-knit team.
Following a successful probation period, the role offers hybrid working, flexible hours and the chance to work from the company's impressive purpose-built offices in Sevenoaks.
The Opportunity
This is a varied standalone role that combines financial management with commercial involvement. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the finance function, producing meaningful management information and supporting business decisions with accurate financial reporting.
Alongside finance, you'll oversee routine HR administration, helping to maintain employee records, support onboarding processes and ensure compliance with key employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance function
- Manage purchase and sales ledgers, cash flow and supplier payments
- Oversee customer billing and revenue processing
- Administer payroll, pensions and employee expenses
- Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- Produce financial reports and analysis for the Managing Director
- Complete VAT returns, bank reconciliations and assist with year-end accounts
- Review and improve financial controls and internal processes
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding administration
- Monitor holiday and absence records
- Help ensure compliance with employment legislation and GDPR requirements
About You
The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of a finance function and working independently within a growing business.
You'll ideally have:
- AAT qualification or be studying towards ACCA or CIMA
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accounts role
- Experience producing management accounts and financial reports
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive approach with strong commercial awareness
Experience within an MSP, IT services business or SME would be advantageous, as would knowledge of PSA systems such as HaloPSA, ConnectWise or Autotask.
