We’re working with a creative retail and brand experience business that’s increasingly pushing into immersive, technology-led environments for global brands and retailers, and they’re now looking to bring in a Creative Technologist to join the team. This is a really interesting opportunity for someone who naturally sits between creativity and technology; someone curious about how AI, interactive systems, digital displays and connected experiences can shape the future of physical retail and brand engagement.
Working closely alongside the Technical Digital Director, you’ll help explore, test and deliver a range of innovative retail and experiential technologies across live projects, installations and R&D initiatives. One day could involve testing interactive “lift & learn” retail experiences or AI-assisted customer engagement tools, while the next could see you supporting digital display installations, prototyping new ideas or helping bring experiential activations to life within physical retail environments.
The role isn’t about sitting writing code all day, nor is it a traditional IT support position. It’s much more focused on understanding how technology can be creatively applied within branded spaces and customer experiences. They’re looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, likes getting hands-on with technology and has a genuine curiosity for how physical and digital experiences continue to evolve together.
The ideal background could come from experiential, AV, events technology, digital installations, interactive environments, retail technology or similar. You’ll need to be comfortable working across both hardware and software, confident supporting installations on-site and interested in emerging technologies, particularly within retail, experiential and customer engagement spaces.
Any exposure to areas such as digital signage, RFID/NFC, sensor-triggered experiences, AI-driven retail tools, prototype development or experiential marketing technology would be highly beneficial. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking creative business that invests heavily in innovation, retail technology, and the future of connected brand experiences, while working alongside a collaborative team that delivers projects for major retail and lifestyle brands.
