We’re working with a creative agency that delivers innovative retail installations, brand activations and technical solutions for major brands. They’re looking for a hands-on Technical Manager to join their Technical & Digital team, supporting the delivery of technology-led retail environments while helping explore new ideas across interactive displays, digital screens, AI-assisted tools, sensors, RFID/NFC and connected product experiences.
This could be a great opportunity for someone from a technical production, digital signage, AV, interactive media, real-time 3D, games technology, VFX, installation or experiential tech background, particularly someone who enjoys solving practical problems and making technology work in real-world environments. The client is open to someone who may not come from a traditional retail technology background, as long as they can demonstrate strong technical curiosity, hands-on project experience and the ability to learn quickly.
A background involving tools such as Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, Houdini, Blueprint logic, shader systems, real-time visualisation, interactive systems, prototyping or real-time VFX could be highly relevant, particularly if you’re interested in applying those skills within physical retail, digital displays and brand activation environments.
The role will involve supporting the setup, testing and delivery of interactive retail technologies, including lift-and-learn systems, digital display hardware, CMS platforms, motion sensors, RFID/NFC applications and connected product experiences. This would suit someone practical, curious and technically minded, someone who enjoys working across both hardware and software, is comfortable testing and troubleshooting, and can communicate clearly with internal teams and clients on site.
A full UK driving license is required, as the role will involve travel to retail sites. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to move into a creative, fast-moving agency environment where retail, technology, innovation and brand experience come together.
