An industry leading Contractor who completes projects for major blue chip clients is looking to add to their operations team. Due to acquiring a full orderbook of asset, fit out and refurbishment projects across the retail banking sector, the business is looking to appoint a Senior Contracts Manager to deliver these projects across the Midlands and the South of England with values up to £500k. This is a hybrid working position based from home and visiting sites within the region, with very little requirement to attend head office.

As the Contracts Manager, you will be reporting to the Account Manager to oversee a wide range of asset, fit out and refurbishment projects that are valued up to £500k. This position is very client facing and paperwork driven, ensuring contractors are delivering to the client standards.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

  • 5 years + experience as a Contracts Manager
  • Previous experience working for a Consultancy / Main Contractor / Client Side background on retail banking projects (Essential)
  • Previous experience managing multiple fast paced construction projects in the retail banking sector (Preferred)

Duties

  • Write and update project programmes
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Enforce on labour selection and delegation
  • Assist with project procurement requirements
  • Ensure live project trackers and systems are kept up to date
  • Ensure site packs are completed and sites are set up in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements
  • Arrange and chair project meetings with all management team and clients, on and off site
  • Manage projects on site and throughout to completion
  • Perform and implement RAMS strategies
  • Reporting to the Account Manager
  • Manage external construction teams and subcontractors
  • Manage contractor works and quality on site
  • Manage project variations with sub-contractor and clients
  • Work with interior design team and attend design meetings on site when required
  • Deliver all project KPI's
  • Reviewing and managing value engineering options throughout project life cycles
  • Monitor project budgets and costs
  • Manage quality, snagging, and delivery, throughout project life cycles
  • Sign off snagging on site with sub-contractors and clients

This is a Permanent position with a competitive salary (£50,000 - £57,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Package) on offer for the successful candidate.
