About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join our Product Engineering Team at Hackajob. This hybrid role based in Winnersh (Reading area), UK, offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment focused on developing and enhancing our Salesforce-based SaaS platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Salesforce solutions that support our global operations. This position is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who is passionate about creating scalable, robust, and innovative systems, with a clear focus on code quality and architectural excellence. The role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to translate complex business needs into technical solutions, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of HR and talent management technology.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer with a strong understanding of Apex, SOQL, JavaScript, and Salesforce Lightning / Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Hands‑on experience with the Force.com platform, including designing and implementing scalable solutions.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and best practices for development and deployment.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, architects, and testers.
• Relevant Salesforce certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Salesforce solutions that support our SaaS product and meet business needs.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Develop custom Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce components.
• Optimize existing solutions for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and best practice implementation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including testers, product managers, and architects to ensure seamless delivery of features and functionalities.
• Stay updated with the latest Salesforce developments and incorporate innovative features such as AI integrations where applicable.
