About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled iOS Developer to join our dynamic technology team at Blue Light Card. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a newly established cross-functional team focused on building innovative mobile applications that deliver impactful experiences to our members. As part of this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and enhancing our iOS platform, working on greenfield projects that aim to redefine our app experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app development, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies, participate in a major replatforming initiative, and influence the future of our mobile offerings.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, with extensive experience in UIKit, Storyboards, and Swift packages for scalable app development.
  • Proven ability to implement comprehensive testing strategies using XCTest for unit testing and TestFlight for beta testing.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, especially GitHub, and experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with shared business logic development utilizing Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) to facilitate cross-platform consistency.
  • Familiarity with analytics and engagement tools such as Amplitude, Braze, Firebase Crashlytics, and Stripe for payment processing.
  • Strong understanding of server-driven UI concepts and experience deploying serverless applications on cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams and mentor junior developers.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications, ensuring code readability, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Participate actively in the mobile community of practice, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define technical requirements and deliver features aligned with the product vision.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure robust and reliable app performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other technical challenges to optimize user experience.
  • Support automated build, testing, and deployment processes to facilitate rapid release cycles.
  • Document technical specifications, decisions, and processes to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions to enhance app functionality and performance.
