About The Role

We are currently partnering with a leading international engineering and project management organization to recruit an experienced People Business Partner. This pivotal role involves working closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic people initiatives that align with the company's business objectives. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on complex employee relations, organizational change, workforce planning, and people development. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence high-level decision-making and drive impactful HR strategies within a highly regulated and technically complex environment. The People Business Partner will be instrumental in fostering a positive employee experience, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization’s growth and transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 7 qualification and Chartered CIPD membership or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a senior HR or People Business Partner, preferably within consultancy, engineering, infrastructure, nuclear, or other highly regulated project environments.
• Extensive expertise in employee relations, including managing complex and sensitive cases independently.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application in a business context.
• Experience supporting organizational change, restructuring, and transformation projects.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge at senior levels.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret people data to inform strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to design and deliver people strategies that support business goals and drive organizational performance.
• Provide commercially focused HR advice, guidance, and challenge to stakeholders across various functions and levels.
• Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence, restructures, redundancy, and TUPE procedures.
• Support organizational change initiatives, workforce planning, and transformation programs to ensure smooth implementation and stakeholder engagement.
• Analyze people data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic HR planning.
• Promote consistency and continuous improvement in HR processes, policies, and practices across the organization.
• Coach and develop managers to enhance leadership capabilities and improve people management skills.
• Contribute to broader HR projects such as organizational design, talent development, ED&I initiatives, and process optimization.
• Champion the adoption of technology, data analytics, and emerging tools, including AI, to enhance HR service delivery and business outcomes.
