The Job:
The Inventory Controller will perform regular field-based inventory audits and as such, you will have a clean driving license and be comfortable with frequent travel to locations throughout the UK with occasional overnight stay.
Key Responsibilities
- The Inventory Controller will be responsible for building relationships with warehouse operatives, company vehicle drivers and be comfortable checking labelling, stock levels, tools, consumables, telematics systems, and cross-checking self-audit reports.
- In addition to controlling inventory at company warehouses and business partner sites, the Inventory Controller will perform counts of stock, consumables, tools and carry out inspections of our in-house fleet of vans. You will have good scheduling and communications skills, and you will assist our Fleet Department to ensure that vans are appropriately stocked and in good condition.
Majority of their time is spent driving to different locations within their region in order to carry out audits, to external partners at their warehouses and internal engineer vans (tool, stock and vehicle audit).Maintain and update Inventory records, with data gathered from field audits. - ICs will be responsible for managing stock levels and on some occasions must also receive and issue tooling/stock to our engineers from the Safestores within their own region.
- The Inventory Controller will also take part in Ad-Hoc duties within the Inventory department as and when necessary.
