OVERALL OBJECTIVE
We’re looking for a creative, social-first Video Editor to join our team and produce engaging, high-performing content for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. This is a hands-on role for someone who can both shoot and edit video, understands what makes content perform on social, and is confident in using AI tools to work smarter and faster. You’ll be creating content that resonates with parents – informative, relatable, and shareable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, shoot and edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms
- Turn ideas, trends and briefs into compelling, scroll-stopping videos
- Use AI tools to streamline editing (e.g. auto-captioning, cutting, voiceovers, enhancements)
- Edit quickly and efficiently, producing high volumes of content when needed
- Optimise content for each platform (formats, lengths, hooks, subtitles, pacing)
- Stay on top of social trends, sounds, and formats, particularly in the parenting space
- Collaborate with editorial, social and marketing teams to align content with brand and audience
- Maintain and organise video assets and footage
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:- Proven experience shooting and editing video content for social platforms
- Strong understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook video trends
- Proficiency in editing software (e.g. Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro or similar)
- Experience using AI-powered editing tools
- Ability to work at pace and manage multiple pieces of content simultaneously
- Strong storytelling skills and a good eye for what grabs attention quickly
- Experience creating content for parenting, lifestyle or family audiences
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills
- Experience working in a digital publisher or media environment
