At NetMind.AI we believe that AI should be for the people and for the betterment of Humanity. We work towards developing AI products that make a positive impact on humanity in an ethical way, whilst keeping the end user's interest at heart.
About NetMind Life: Our journey began with a simple yet profound vision: to empower individuals to take charge of their health in a way that resonates with their unique life circumstances. By understanding everyone's current health status and goals, our team of experts harnesses the power of AI to craft personalised longevity recommendations. These tailored suggestions range from behavioural shifts, such as dietary choices and mental well-being, to specific longevity therapies and supplemental guidance.
We are looking for a curious and motivated iOS/Frontend Developer Intern (Mandarin speaker) to join our NetMind Life team, working on our consumer app that uses AI to translate health data and goals into practical, personalised longevity recommendations.
What you’ll do:
- Build and ship user‑facing features in our iOS app using Swift and SwiftUI (with occasional UIKit where needed).
- Work with REST APIs to display personalised health and longevity insights, and handle local data storage (e.g. UserDefaults, basic persistence).
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and help keep the app stable and responsive.
- Write and maintain basic unit tests with XCTest, with guidance from senior engineers.
- Apply clean architecture ideas (MVVM, basic dependency injection) under mentorship.
- Participate in code reviews, stand‑ups, and feature brainstorming with designers and product.
What we’re looking for:
- Some hands‑on experience building iOS apps: personal projects, coursework, hackathons, or a previous internship all count.
- Familiarity with Swift, and interest in learning SwiftUI and modern iOS patterns.
- Basic understanding of asynchronous programming on iOS (e.g. completion handlers, async/await, URLSession).
- An eye for good UX and clean, simple interfaces.
- Curious, self‑driven, and comfortable asking questions and accepting feedback.
- Fluent Mandarin and English – you’ll collaborate regularly with colleagues in both London and China.
- Eligible to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
- BA or above degree in Computer Science.
- Nice to have: Exposure to patterns like MVVM, MVVM‑C, or similar architectures.
- Any experience with dependency injection, unit testing, or CI tools.
- Interest in healthtech, AI, or LLM‑powered products.
- Experience shipping an app (even a simple one) to TestFlight or the App Store.
What you’ll get:
- Work on a real, live iOS product used by consumers, not just demo projects.
- Exposure to AI/LLM product development and longevity/health experts.
- Collaborate closely with AI engineers, product designers.
- Prime London office with skyline views, plus hybrid working options.
- Networking opportunities across the AI and healthtech ecosystem (meetups, partner events).
You do not need a perfect CV; we care more about your potential, your curiosity, and evidence that you enjoy building iOS apps!
