We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our small catering team. The successful applicant will provide support to the Chef Manager, ensuring that all catering services are of the highest possible standard. You will be required to prepare and cook meals in accordance with the daily menu and following government guidelines with assistance from your catering team. You will assist with administration, and any other duties pertaining to the running of the kitchen.
Working as part of this dedicated team, you will have:
- Working knowledge of HACCP and health and safety in a catering environment
- Good organisational skills
- Knowledge of Government Nutritional Standards
- Excellent hygiene and health and safety practices
- Good communication skills
- Experience of working within an education environment - although not essential
- A good sense of humour and enjoy being part of a small team
The successful candidate will hold:
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
- NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent or be willing to work towards this.
