Nether Stowe School is seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Second in Mathematics to support the leadership and development of a thriving Maths department. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in driving excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the Maths department
- Drive high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5, if applicable)
- Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and intervention strategies
- Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential
- Contribute to staff development through coaching and sharing best practice
- Inspire a love of mathematics across the school community

- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record of student achievement
- Have the ability to motivate, challenge, and support both students and colleagues
