Residential Child Care Workers – Sessional posts available £12 - £15.44 per hour (depending on qualifications, enhancement for nightshift hours). Nether Johnstone House is an independent service located in Johnstone, Renfrewshire. We provide residential care for ‘Looked after Children’ who for a variety of reasons are unable to be cared for at home. We cater for short term and long-term placements and where required offer a respite service. We provide a safe, respectful and nurturing environment for all children & young people, promoting the development of personal growth and achievement.
We are currently looking to recruit sessional Residential Child Care Workers with enthusiasm, passion and who can demonstrate a commitment to our children and young people. Residential Child Care workers will contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the children/young people in order to promote their welfare whilst working in partnership with their family and other professionals on a day to day and long terms basis. The post will involve shift and weekend working.
Minimum Qualifications: HNC level qualification or above and SVQ III Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) is desirable but not essential. Driving Licence is essential. Applicants will be supported to gain additional qualifications required and encouraged to maintain their own continuous professional development as required by SSSC. All posts are subject to reference checks and a Protection of Vulnerable Groups background check. Only successful applicants will be contacted.
