About The Team

The Brand Partnerships team collaborates with external partners and internal cross‑functional teams to create compelling campaigns, activations, sponsorships, and innovative solutions. As part of our overall marketing efforts, we partner with admired consumer brands to promote our titles and fuel fandom with creative marketing campaigns that drive outsized conversation, creating more ways for fans to connect with the content and IP that they love. Following the launch of Netflix with Ads in late 2022, we have continued to innovate our partnership offering, developing new intersectional solutions for brands to get closer to, and integrate with, our culture‑defining content and IP whilst continuing to provide a best‑in‑class experience to our members and ad tier subscribers.

About The Role

You will be responsible for supporting in the building of relationships with key partners across the UK in order to continue the growth and awareness around the Brand Partnerships offering at Netflix as well as to gain a deep understanding of their goals, planning process, creative ambition, and core equities. You will negotiate and shape robust partnerships with admired brands in support of Netflix’s most prominent films and series. You will be a part of a multi‑disciplinary working team within the EMEA Marketing Partnerships function. Supported by a Senior Brand Partnerships Manager you will also work alongside a team consisting of strategy, creative and production leads who are responsible for developing the strategic intersections between our title and a brand’s positioning and overseeing the creative ideation and production process with creative agency partners.

You will be tasked with building mutually beneficial deals, using your judgment, business context, and experience to craft a custom approach. With the growth of the Netflix Ads business, the scope for the Brand Partnerships team is also evolving. This role will be pivotal in helping expand the Brand Partnerships offering across Netflix channels such as custom social, events and new ads formats. With this in mind you will be adept and confident in building idea‑led partnerships that can exist both promotionally and across Netflix media channels.

You will build brand partnership presentations, lead partner discussions and negotiations, and manage partner relationships. You will also be working closely with our colleagues in the Ads team to build relationships with key Ads partners and be on the ground to drive awareness and build partner‑led relationships. Being part of the Brand Partnerships team means you’ll also be working closely with title marketing, media, publicity, and social teams to integrate partnership campaigns into title marketing plans and look to extend these campaigns across countries and regions should there be an opportunity to do so. This role will be responsible for the overall partner relationship, with a focus on maintaining open communication before, during, and after the execution of a partnership campaign.

This role will be a huge opportunity to be at the forefront of defining and growing our brand partnerships offering off the back of our rapidly expanding ads tier. One that not only continues to prove how Netflix is the most innovative entertainment company in the world but also helps to deliver and grow an important new revenue stream for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with our UK Ads team to proactively engage and build robust, commercially and creatively viable partnership opportunities.
  • Ownership of the commercial strategy, pitching and delivery for specific title opportunities for 2027 end to end with the UK ads team.
  • Work closely on sponsorship opportunities across the Live programming slate.
  • Extract insights from partners to arm our strategic and creative teams with the appropriate level of information in order to develop and steer the strategic & creative vision from beginning through to execution.
  • Be a close link between our sponsorships and solutions team and brand partnerships to build considered media‑based creative solutions for partners.
  • Work closely with brand strategy, creative and production to build robust brand partnerships that deliver commercial and conversation marketing results.
  • Craft clear and concise commercial packages for partners.
  • Drafting and negotiating deal memos and contractual promotional agreements.
  • Development of memos that can articulate clear thinking to inform and guide major decisions or voice opinions that can be shared publicly within the broader Netflix organisation.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to brands in a clear and robust manner.
  • Educate new prospective partners on our unique view and approach to brand partnerships and translate to them our goals and ambition.

Requirements:

  • Has 10 or more years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing incredibly creative, IP‑led, entertainment partnerships or brand campaigns.
  • Experience of working with a quick commercial environment and an expert at balancing commercial and creative decisions.
  • Solid understanding of the media landscape, especially across TV and Social.
  • Experience within a film or TV environment, either directly within an entertainment organisation or being brand side having collaborated within entertainment.
  • Clear and articulate writer, who is comfortable crafting a narrative and developing points of view, despite some ambiguity or uncertainty.
  • Understands how strategy informs creative briefs and can clearly demonstrate experience of working end to end in the development of marketing campaigns with agencies.
  • Experience in developing and selling custom partnership solutions for owned media channels.
  • Able to give strong input on strategy and a clear POV on creative work.
  • Experience and palpable passion for building great content marketing programs that are unique and scalable.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and drive results.
