Ads Policy Strategist

Overview

The Ads Policy Team, part of Netflix’s Marketing, Advertising, Communications, and Consumer Product Legal Team, sets advertising standards to protect the member experience while delivering value to advertisers.

Responsibilities

• Deploy ads enforcement across a functional area (e.g., dating, alcohol, high fat, salt, sugar food and beverages).
• Counsel ads sales and account management on questions that arise based on enforcement.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve how we advise, align, finalize, and enforce ads policies.
• Support issue escalation and resolution from advertisers, ad sales, and members.
• Act as an advocate for Ads Policy with a global lens, balancing scalability, localization, and cultural sensitivities to drive meaningful policies.

Qualifications

• 3‑5 years of functional expertise in Content Moderation, Policy/Legal Operations, Trust & Safety Policy.
• Knowledge of the technology sector and key policy issues such as online brand safety.
• Experience managing and scaling high‑volume content across multiple verticals and countries, and running simultaneous complex policy projects.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, able to translate complex issues into clear language.
• Experience collaborating closely with advertisers, legal, and sales teams.
• English proficiency required; additional language proficiency (German, Spanish, Italian, French, Polish, Swedish or Dutch) a plus.
