Position Summary
The Field Technician provides onsite technical support for restaurant operations, ensuring reliable performance of POS systems, hardware, networking components, and related technology. This role combines technical troubleshooting with strong customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support for restaurant POS systems, hardware, and networking equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair POS systems, peripherals, and related devices
- Resolve technical issues and clearly communicate solutions to restaurant staff
- Document work performed and maintain system configurations
- Perform light installation work (drilling, mounting hardware, running cables)
- Diagnose equipment failures and replace or order parts as needed
- Train restaurant staff on proper system use and basic troubleshooting
- Support restaurant operations by ensuring technology runs smoothly
- Follow established procedures with minimal supervision
- Report to Field Services Manager or Team Lead
Requirements
- Drug and Background screening
- Reliable transportation
- 3 year MVR
- 2–4 years of technical support experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, computer hardware, and networking concepts
- Ability to perform light physical/contractor tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation
- Reliable transportation for daily travel between locations
