Overview

The Company Netcraft is the global leader in cybercrime detection and disruption. We’re a trusted partner for three of the four largest companies in the world and many large country governments. We’ve blocked more than 200 million malicious sites and perform takedowns for around one-third of the world’s phishing sites. Our purpose, passion, and expertise are focused on just one thing: protecting the world from cybercrime. Our passion doesn’t stop at what we do - it shapes how we work, too. We’re proud of our talented team, and the value each person brings. That’s why we’ve created a workplace where people feel supported and inspired: from great benefits and wellness programs to fun social events, we’ve got you covered.

The Role

We’re seeking a Cybercrime Analyst to join our amazing Technical Operations team. Cybercrime Analysts have an opportunity to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect governments, banks, and consumers from online attacks. You’ll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. And don’t worry if you have limited experience in this area: we can train you.

Responsibilities

  • Cybercrime incident response - communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks;
  • Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers;
  • Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications;
  • Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows.

Based at our Bath office, but with hybrid flexibility, you’ll report directly to a more senior member of the Technical Operations function and will work closely with colleagues across different teams.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity;
  • A positive and solution-focused approach;
  • Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention;
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English;
  • Ability to engage with people in a friendly, helpful, and professional way;
  • Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team;
  • Aptitude for analysing and using technical information;
  • Competence in handling incoming phone calls;
  • Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided;
  • A degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or any field that promotes analytical thinking may be beneficial but is not essential.

Rewards & Benefits

  • A starting salary of £30,000 per annum, reviewed yearly
  • An excellent range of benefits including:
  • Opportunities for flexible working after completing an initial 6 weeks of training.
  • Opportunities for individual training and development;
  • 33 days holiday per year (incl. public holidays);
  • Pension scheme membership with 5% matching employer contributions plus NI savings;
  • Equity tracking scheme (eligibility criteria apply)
  • Two days paid Volunteering Leave per year;
  • Free meals, drinks and snacks provided daily in the offices;
  • Comprehensive wellness provisions
  • Life assurance at 4x annual salary
  • Enhanced family leave provisions;
  • Regular events such as monthly board game nights, quarterly socials and big summer and winter parties;
  • A tax-efficient cycle to work scheme;
  • And an inclusive culture and environment, where you’ll feel genuinely valued and respected.
