At this level, you will be expected to:

  • Have experience working to the GDS design principles or equivalent standards in the UK Public sector
  • Build user‑centred practices in new teams
  • Must have experience managing/leading UR working across multiple Government projects
  • Align user research activities with wider plans to inform a service proposition
  • Carry out user research and supervise and develop other user researchers to assure and improve research practice
  • Advocate for inclusive practices and help teams design and deliver accessible services that work for all users
  • Help teams adopt a wide range of primary and secondary user research methods
  • Understand and help teams apply a range of methods to analyse research data and synthesise findings
  • Draw out key findings and implications, summarising and tailoring for different audiences
  • Understand the social and technological context of projects
  • Align user research activities to inform decision making and action
  • Know about the technologies used to build and operate digital services
  • Help inexperienced teams adopt user‑centred practices and embed them into their agile workflow

Qualifications:

  • 6 years plus User Research experience
  • Have experience working to the GDS design principles or equivalent standards in the UK Public sector
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Eligible for Security Clearance
  • Work to a Hybrid working model
