b Overview /b p As a Senior Agile Delivery Manager in the Application Development unit, you drive end-to-end delivery of complex digital services for public and private sector clients. You will lead agile teams, translate product strategy into delivery plans, and ensure outcomes meet scope, budget, time, and quality. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, scale teams, and embed user-centered design and government standards. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with a strong impact on project delivery and client trust. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Hybrid working model with flexible hours /li li 25 days’ holiday /li li Private Medical Health care via Vitality /li li Pension contribution /li li Life Assurance /li li Professional certifications supported /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead end-to-end delivery of complex digital services within scope, budget, time, and quality expectations /li li Provide hands-on agile delivery leadership across multidisciplinary teams and perform Scrum Master responsibilities when needed /li li Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and drive continuous improvement in delivery processes /li li Collaborate with Product Managers to translate strategy into achievable delivery plans /li li Lead multidisciplinary teams across delivery, product, engineering, architecture, QA, business analysis, and design /li li Integrate user-centered design disciplines throughout delivery /li li Support services through the GDS delivery lifecycle (Discovery to Live) and align with Government Service Standard /li li Plan and coordinate GDS service assessments and manage recommendations /li li Maintain delivery controls (plans, RAID, dependency management, forecasting, governance reporting) /li li Hands-on Jira and Confluence ownership for backlogs, workflows, dashboards, and reporting /li li Manage delivery across complex tech environments (systems integration, legacy, cloud, third-party) /li li Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, finances, and outcomes to stakeholders /li li Build trusted client and team relationships, challenging decisions when needed to protect delivery outcomes /li li Contribute to the delivery management community through coaching and mentoring /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Extensive experience leading complex digital/technology delivery in government or public sector /li li Strong practical knowledge of agile delivery and ability to adapt hybrid/other approaches with Delivery Manager and Scrum Master responsibilities /li li Proven experience leading multidisciplinary digital teams (PM, engineering, QA, business analysis, UI/UX) /li li Clear understanding of Delivery Manager and Product Manager accountabilities and collaboration for roadmaps /li li Hands-on experience with GDS delivery lifecycle and Government Service Standard /li li Experience preparing teams for GDS service assessments and implementing recommendations /li li Advanced, hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence (backlog, workflows, dashboards, reporting, delivery docs) /li li Knowledge of software delivery lifecycle (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live, service improvement) /li li Experience in delivery planning, dependency, risk/issue management, forecasting, governance reporting /li li Experience managing system integration initiatives with multiple technologies and third-party suppliers /li li Ability to remove blockers, manage priorities, and foster an environment for effective delivery /li li Excellent facilitation, coaching, and servant-leadership skills; ability to embed agile behaviours /li li Strong stakeholder management and clear, constructive communication with senior stakeholders /li li Professional agile delivery or Scrum Master qualification or equivalent experience /li li Willingness to work in a hybrid model and travel occasionally /li /ul ul li facilitation /li li coaching /li li servant-leadership /li li Jira /li li Confluence /li li backlog management /li /ul
